Morocco defender Zakaria El Ouahdi produced an outstanding performance to help Genk secure a vital victory over Gent in the Belgian top-flight on Sunday to push their top six push.

The 24-year-old full-back played a pivotal role by registering his name on the scoresheet, contributing to Genk’s 3-0 victory over their opponent.

The hosts wasted no time asserting themselves, with Zakaria El Ouahidi opening the scoring after just four minutes. Bryan Heinen’s precise pass set up El Ouahidi, who calmly finished with a perfectly placed left-footed shot.
