Moroccan youngster, Eliesse Ben Seghir has been placed in the eighth spot in the prestigious Golden Boy 2025 rankings.
The 20-year-old ranks on top of some of football’s hottest up-and-coming stars — including Real Madrid wonderkids Endrick and Arda Güler.
The Golden Boy Award is Europe’s most coveted prize for under-21 players. It gives starlets the ultimate stamp of approval for a bright future in football.
The attacking midfielder has dazzled in 38 matches for Monaco, racking up nine goals and serving up four assists. He’s tied to Monaco until 2027.
Ben Seghir has already impressed with the Morocco national team, winning bronze at the Paris 2024 Olympics and scoring three goals in just eight appearances.
Walid Regragui called up Ben Seghir for the next international break to face Niger and Tanzania in the World Cup qualifiers on March 21 and 25. Both games will be played in Oujda.
Last year, Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal, who is of Morocco and Equatorial Guinea heritage won the award.
