Moroccan winger Nawfel Zerhouni sidelined by injury at Libyan club Al-Ittihad
Moroccan attacker Nawfel Zerhouni will miss action for his Libyan club Al-Ittihad after sustaining an injury to his right ankle, the club has confirmed.
In a recent medical update, the team revealed that the Moroccan international suffered a minor bruise to the soft tissues on the outer side of his ankle.
The player, formerly of Raja Club Athletic, has now begun a rehabilitation program under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.
The medical team emphasised that all players’ health will continue to be closely monitored to ensure safe and effective recoveries and to return athletes to the field in optimal condition.
Zarhouni, who joined the Libyan side in February 2025 from Raja Casablanca, has quickly established himself as one of the league’s standout performers.
He was recognised as the best professional player in the competition last season, highlighting his influence and importance to the team.
