Hani Achrayah, the Moroccan forward starring for Union Saint-Gilloise’s under-18 side, is reportedly attracting strong interest from clubs across Europe, with Greek outfit Lamia emerging as a leading contender for his signature ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 17-year-old has turned heads with his prolific scoring form in Belgium, having finished as the top scorer in the Belgian U18 league for two consecutive seasons.
His consistency in front of goal has positioned him as one of the most promising young forwards in his age group, prompting several clubs to monitor his situation closely.
Speaking in an interview with Africasoccer, Hicham Achrayah, the player’s father and agent, confirmed that multiple European sides have already expressed concrete interest in securing the services of his son.
However, despite receiving official approaches from several Belgian teams, the Achrayah camp appears set on seeking a fresh challenge abroad.
“We have received offers from the Belgian league, and they are official,” said Hicham Achrayah. “But we are not disclosing the names of the clubs at this time, as my son refuses to continue in the Belgian league.”
Achrayah Sr. went on to highlight that although numerous intermediaries have presented options from across the continent, it is the proposal from Greece’s Lamia that currently stands out.
“I received offers through some players’ agents,” he explained. “But the offer I found suitable for my son came from the Greek team Lamia, where my son can play more minutes, which will give him a greater opportunity to demonstrate his technical and physical abilities.”
With game time seen as a critical factor in the next phase of Hani Achrayah’s development, the family is carefully weighing potential destinations that can offer both competitive football and personal growth.
Lamia, a club with ambitions of strengthening its youth development pipeline, appears ready to offer a platform for the Moroccan teenager to step into senior football.
Significantly, Hani Achrayah is not under contract with Union Saint-Gilloise, meaning he is free to leave without a transfer fee at the end of the current season.
This status has increased his appeal on the market, allowing potential suitors to invest directly in the player’s development rather than entering into negotiations with a parent club.
Born in Belgium and eligible to represent Morocco at international level, Achrayah has built a reputation for his sharp movement, eye for goal, and ability to make decisive contributions in the final third. As the summer window approaches, his next step could mark a major milestone in a career that many believe holds great promise.
While no official announcement has been made regarding his future, all indications suggest a move to Greece may be imminent, a transition that could see one of Morocco’s most promising young forwards take his first steps onto the senior European stage.
