Abderrazak Hamdallah, the Moroccan striker for Al-Ittihad Club, finds himself under the threat of suspension following an altercation with a spectator during the match in which his team lost to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final.
According to Ayman Al-Rifai, former head of the committee affiliated with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Hamdallah faces the possibility of suspension by the Discipline and Ethics Committee.
Al-Rifai stated, “Hamdallah will be punished for this incident in accordance with the regulations.
If the match referee, Khaled Al-Turais, includes the incident in his report, it will be considered unsportsmanlike conduct, resulting in a two-match suspension and a fine of 20,000 Saudi Riyals.”
Hamdallah notably scored a goal for Al-Ittihad in the 21st minute, converting a penalty that was initially saved by Yassine Bounou, before the rebound fell to him to find the net against the defending champions.
