Moroccan professional football league website hacked, authorities take action
Abdessalam Belkchour, in a recent post on his personal social media account, informed the national sports community about the breach.
“The official website of the NPFL was hacked today, with the perpetrators deliberately modifying certain information, most notably the number of titles won by Wydad Athletic Club,” Belkchour stated.
In response to this incident, Belkchour announced that the NPFL has taken the following steps: “Firstly, we have temporarily taken down the official website to correct this electronic vulnerability.
Secondly, we have launched a thorough investigation to identify the entity responsible for this illegal and criminal act,” he said, emphasizing that the NPFL reserves the right to pursue legal action to deter such behaviors.
Belkchour concluded his statement by condemning the attack. “We denounce this act, which aims to undermine the credibility of our institution.
We reaffirm that the club titles listed on the NPFL’s official website are those recognized by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).”
