Bilal El Khannouss continues to draw significant interest across the Premier League, with Aston Villa emerging as the latest club to express concrete interest in the Moroccan international midfielder.

Following an encouraging debut season with Leicester City, the 21-year-old has become a sought-after name during this summer’s transfer window.

Despite the Foxes’ relegation to the Championship, El Khannouss left a lasting impression with 32 league appearances, including 27 starts, contributing two goals and three assists.

His performances have highlighted his creativity, composure, and tactical awareness—traits that have prompted several top-flight clubs to closely monitor his situation.

Aston Villa now joins the growing list of potential suitors, which already includes Sunderland, West Ham, Everton, and Nottingham Forest.

The Moroccan playmaker, who has earned 22 caps for his national side and scored once, is understood to be keen on remaining in the Premier League.

His ambition to continue playing top-tier football aligns with the interest being shown by Villa, who finished sixth last season and are preparing for a return to European competition.

According to AstonVillaNews, Unai Emery’s side views El Khannouss as both a high-upside and cost-effective reinforcement for their midfield.

With the player under contract at Leicester until June 2028, the Midlands club reportedly considers the estimated €25 million asking price to be a realistic and worthwhile investment.

Transfermarkt currently values El Khannouss at €28 million, but sources suggest that Leicester may be open to negotiations.

With the club preparing for life in the Championship, and the player seeking continuity in top-level competition, a summer exit appears increasingly likely.

El Khannouss, born in Strombeek, Belgium, is known for his technical skills, ability to progress the ball, and sharp vision in the final third. While he has openly admitted that his goal-scoring output needs improvement, his capacity to disrupt defences and link play has not gone unnoticed.

For Villa, he could represent an ideal fit for Emery’s system, offering both depth and potential in a midfield that will need to manage domestic and European duties.

AS Monaco have also expressed interest in securing El Khannouss’s services as they look to reinforce their midfield options ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign.

The player’s versatility and attacking instincts make him an attractive prospect for several systems, whether in the Premier League or elsewhere in Europe.

With the transfer window still open and El Khannouss seemingly available for the right price, the coming weeks will be decisive in determining his next destination.

His reputation as one of the brightest young midfielders in Europe, combined with Leicester’s relegation, has created an opportunity that clubs are now eager to seize.

As negotiations begin to take shape behind the scenes, all eyes remain on the Moroccan international, whose next move could prove pivotal not only for his own career but also for the ambitions of the club that secures his signature.
