Amine Adli has reached an agreement to join Bournemouth, with the Premier League side now in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over a potential transfer.
The Moroccan international, capped 15 times with one goal for the Atlas Lions, has been considering his future since the departure of Xabi Alonso from Leverkusen earlier this summer.
The arrival of Erik ten Hag as head coach has signalled a period of rebuilding for the German champions, prompting Adli to assess his options after four seasons at the club.
The 25-year-old winger is determined to get back to his best ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Morocco from 21 December to 18 January.
His motivation to seek a new challenge comes amid a reduction in playing time and frustration over being deployed in unfamiliar roles on the pitch.
Bournemouth have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature, with reports from Foot Mercato and Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg confirming that an agreement has been reached between the player and the English club.
However, Leverkusen must still be persuaded to sanction the deal.
Negotiations between the two clubs are said to be well advanced, with the Bundesliga side holding out for a fee in the region of €30m to release the Béziers-born winger, whose current contract runs until June 2028.
If completed, the move would see Adli embark on a fresh chapter in his career, following his formative years at Toulouse before his switch to Germany in 2021.

Over his time at Leverkusen, he has made 142 appearances, scored 23 goals and provided 24 assists.
His spell also brought silverware, including three major titles and a historic first Bundesliga crown for the club last season.
Adli’s potential transfer to the Premier League would offer him a new platform to showcase his talent, with Bournemouth keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

For the player, it represents both a professional and personal opportunity — a chance to revive form and rhythm before stepping onto home soil for Africa’s biggest football tournament.
Leverkusen’s decision in the coming days will be decisive in determining whether Adli’s next appearance comes in England’s top flight or if he will remain part of Ten Hag’s reshaped squad in Germany.
