Hamza Igamane’s breakout season at Rangers has not only established him as a key player for the Scottish club but has also attracted significant attention from top European and Premier League clubs.

The 22-year-old Moroccan forward, who joined Rangers from AS FAR Rabat for £2.5 million in the summer of 2024, has demonstrated exceptional talent and resilience, making him one of the most sought-after young players in the market.

During the 2024–25 season, Igamane made 37 appearances across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 3 assists. His performances were particularly notable in the Scottish Premiership, where he netted 10 goals in 26 matches, and in the UEFA Europa League, where he scored 4 goals in 8 appearances .

One of his standout moments came in the Old Firm derby against Celtic, where he scored the winning goal, a moment that solidified his reputation among Rangers fans and showcased his ability to perform under pressure .

Igamane’s rapid rise has not gone unnoticed. Reports indicate that several high-profile clubs are keen on securing his services. In France, Ligue 1 clubs such as Lens, Lille, Rennes, and Strasbourg have shown interest.

Strasbourg, in particular, has been linked to Igamane, potentially as part of a strategy to bolster their squad for European competitions . In the Premier League, teams including Everton, Brentford, and West Ham have reportedly expressed interest in the Moroccan forward.

Despite the growing interest, Rangers are under no immediate pressure to sell. Igamane is contracted with the club until 2029, providing Rangers with leverage in negotiations.

However, with the club undergoing a period of rebuilding under new manager Russell Martin, they may consider offers that align with their long-term strategic goals .

The potential departure of Igamane would mark a significant moment in Rangers’ recent history. His journey from a promising talent at AS FAR Rabat to a key figure in the Scottish Premiership highlights the club’s scouting and development capabilities. Should he move on, Rangers will be tasked with finding a suitable replacement to fill the void left by the Moroccan international.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the future of Hamza Igamane remains a topic of intense speculation. Clubs across Europe will be closely monitoring developments, eager to secure the signature of one of the continent’s brightest young talents. For Rangers, the decision regarding Igamane’s future will be pivotal in shaping the club’s direction in the coming seasons.
