The Ethics Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has announced the suspension of key football figures in response to ethical violations during a match in the National Amateur Championship.
Nour-Eddine Hassak, the president of Union Sportive Abi Jaâd, has been barred from any football-related activities for a period of one year, coupled with a fine of 15,000 Moroccan Dirhams.
The suspension comes in the wake of Hassak’s verbal abuse directed at the match referees officiating the encounter between his team and Nasr Sports de Settat.
Similarly, Omar Er-Rachidiya, the general secretary of Union Sportive Abi Jaâd, received a one-year suspension and a fine of 15,000 Moroccan Dirhams for his involvement in the verbal misconduct aimed at the match officials during the same game.
Abdel Rahim Kamrawi, the president of Renaissance Tanger Football Association, faced the committee’s decision to suspend him for a year, with six months of the penalty deferred, along with a 15,000 Moroccan Dirham fine.
This verdict stems from Kamrawi’s online posts on Facebook, which included derogatory remarks against the president of the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima League and its representatives.
The committee’s actions underline the commitment to upholding ethical standards within Moroccan football, emphasizing that such behavior will not be tolerated.
The suspensions and fines aim to send a strong message regarding the importance of maintaining respect and fair play in the sport.
