Moroccan-Dutch midfielder Rida Chahid joins Moghreb Tetouan on free transfer
Moroccan-Dutch midfielder Rida Chahid has joined Moghreb Tetouan from Almere City U23 on a free transfer, completing a move from the Netherlands to Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi.
The 21-year-old central midfielder made the switch on 9 September 2026 after beginning the 2026-27 season with Almere City U23 in the Dutch Tweede Divisie. He made one appearance for the club, playing 45 minutes during the 2025-26 campaign, and had featured for 13 minutes across the opening four possible league matches of the current season.
Chahid was born in Purmerend in the Netherlands and holds both Moroccan and Dutch nationality. He is left-footed and stands 1.82m tall, offering Moghreb Tetouan a midfielder with experience of the Dutch development system.
Before joining Almere City U23, Chahid spent the 2025-26 season with Ajax U21, also on a free transfer. He had previously progressed through Ajax’s youth structure, moving from Ajax U18 to the under-21 side in 2023 after spells with Ajax U17 and Ajax Youth.
His move to Moghreb Tetouan represents a new stage in a career that began in the Netherlands. The Moroccan club becomes the first senior destination listed for Chahid outside the Dutch football system, while the transfer takes him into the Botola Pro Inwi after his appearances in the Tweede Divisie.
Chahid’s market value was recorded at €100,000 at the time of the move, having previously reached a listed high of €200,000. No transfer fee was involved in his departure from Almere City U23.
The midfielder has signed a contract with Moghreb Tetouan running until 30 June 2028.
