Raja Casablanca left-back Youssef Belamri has opted not to extend his stay at the club and is set to leave during the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to reports from Moroccan media, the 26-year-old defender has informed interim club president Abdallah Berouine of his decision not to renew his contract, which is due to expire at the end of next season.
With no intention of entering extension talks, Belamri’s departure now appears inevitable.
In light of his stance, Raja’s management is expected to entertain transfer offers for the player this summer in a bid to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
Meanwhile, Berouine, who is seeking full presidential backing in the upcoming general assembly elections, is currently in negotiations with several players to renew their contracts.
These moves are widely viewed as part of his efforts to strengthen his campaign and gain support from club members.
Belamri joined Raja Casablanca in 2023 from Fath Union Sport. Since his arrival, he has made 59 appearances and scored three goals for the Green Eagles.
