France-born defender of Moroccan descent, Ayoub Amraoui, has ended his stay at OGC Nice to join Qatari side Al Ahli SC.
The 21-year-old full-back began his professional journey at Nice, where he made his senior debut in July 2021.
However, opportunities were limited, and Amraoui made just 12 appearances for the Ligue 1 side. Over the past two seasons, he spent time on loan to gain valuable experience in Ligue 2.
In early 2024, Amraoui joined Amiens SC on loan, making nine appearances. He followed that up with a full season at FC Martigues, where he featured 33 times.
Despite his efforts, Martigues were relegated after finishing 17th and have since been demoted to France’s sixth-tier league, Régional 1, due to financial issues.
Internationally, Amraoui has represented Morocco at the youth level, earning 12 caps for the U21 national team.
He now takes on a new challenge with Al Ahli SC, who finished fourth in the Qatar Stars League last season.
Amraoui will team up with former PSG and Germany international Julian Draxler.
