Moroccan tactician Abdeslam Ouaddou is prepared for the challenge that awaits him at Orlando Pirates after switching to the club.
The Franco-Moroccan gaffer was recently appointed as the new manager of the Buccaneers, replacing Jose Riveiro, who departed the club to join Al Ahly at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign.
And the former Marumo Gallants trainer insists he is ready for the task at Orlando Pirates, setting his sights on laurels.
“What I can tell you is I’m ready; I’m ready for the challenge [at Pirates], I’m ready for the pressure and most importantly, I’m ready to improve my players. I’m ready to go to fight with my players… yeah, I’m starving, and I want titles. I want to win. Let’s see” he said.
Ouaddou, who signed to become Orlando Pirates previously had stint with Marumo Gallants. He took charge in March 2025 and made an impact at the club.
Under Ouaddou’s guidance, Marumo Gallants played 12 matches, winning five games, drawing four and losing three games.
He also led the team to the semifinals of the South African Cup, where they narrowly lost to the Orlando Pirates.
