Wydad Casablanca have confirmed they will face Portuguese giants FC Porto in a high-profile friendly match on Saturday, 31 May 2025, as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
The Moroccan club, one of Africa’s representatives in the expanded 2025 edition of the tournament, will welcome the two-time European champions to the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT.
The fixture against Porto is a key part of Wydad’s build-up to the global competition, where they have been drawn into Group G alongside Manchester City, Juventus, and Al-Ain.
With such formidable opposition awaiting, the Casablanca-based side is eager to test itself against top-level European sides in order to gauge its readiness for the challenge ahead.
“This friendly will be a great opportunity for our players to get a taste of the intensity and style of European football,” a club official noted during the announcement.
