Montassir Lahtimi returns to FUS Rabat in Morocco free transfer
Morocco winger Montassir Lahtimi has joined FUS Rabat from RCA Zemamra on a free transfer, returning to the club where he began his senior career.
Lahtimi, 25, completed the move on 27 August 2026 after one season with RCA Zemamra. The right winger, who is left-footed, has signed for the Botola Pro Inwi club without a transfer fee.
The Rabat-born player previously left FUS Rabat for Turkish side Trabzonspor in August 2022, with the move recorded at €600,000. He later spent time on loan at Wydad AC during the 2023-24 season before joining Kuwaiti club Kazma SC on a free transfer in October 2024.
Lahtimi moved from Kazma to RCA Zemamra in August 2025, also without a fee, and has now made another switch within Morocco’s top flight. His return gives FUS Rabat a player with experience in domestic and international competition.
Across 89 Botola Pro Inwi appearances, Lahtimi has scored 11 goals and provided 16 assists. He has also made eight appearances in the CAF Champions League, scoring once, while recording six appearances and one assist in the African Football League.
His wider club career includes appearances in the Turkish Super Lig, the Europa League and the Coupe du Trone Marocaine. Before establishing himself in senior football, Lahtimi progressed through FUS Rabat’s youth structure, moving from FUS U19 to FUS Espoirs and then into the first team.
The 1.85m winger’s return comes with his market value listed at €400,000. He joins FUS Rabat as a player whose previous experience includes football in Morocco, Turkey and Kuwait, while his latest move takes him back to his original senior club.
Lahtimi’s transfer to FUS Rabat was registered on 27 August 2026.
