Aymen Abdennour Set for Permanent Move to Monaco as Negotiations Progress
Tunisian defender Aymen Abdennour is on the verge of securing a permanent move to AS Monaco, with negotiations reportedly in full swing. Abdennour, who arrived at the club during the winter transfer window from Toulouse while recovering from injury, has impressed the Monaco management, leading them to activate the option to buy him.
The former Etoile du Sahel player, known for his pace and defensive solidity, will sign a contract this summer, with reports indicating the transfer fee will be set at €13 million. The deal will be finalized with the arrival of Leonardo Jardim, the 39-year-old coach who is set to take over from Claudio Ranieri at Monaco’s helm. Jardim, currently managing Sporting CP, has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with the club.
Abdennour’s permanent move is seen as a key part of Monaco’s plans for the future, as the club looks to build on its promising season and strengthen its defense. With the transition to Jardim’s management, Monaco hopes to continue its progress in Ligue 1 and in European competitions.
