French giants AS Monaco are set to engage Nottingham Forest in a fierce battle for the signature of Algeria international Anis Hadj-Moussa as the summer transfer window approaches.
The 23-year-old has performed admirably for Feyenoord this season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists from 38 appearances for the club.
Hadj-Moussa has caught the attention for several clubs heading into the summer transfer window, with Monaco and Nottingham Forest no exception.
The attacker nearly departed the Eredivisie side earlier in the season amid interest from Lille OSC in January. The deal to take the winger to the Ligue 1 side was advanced but ultimately fell through.
The Algeria international could, however, be on the move in the summer. Monaco may be in the market for a replacement for Maghnes Akliouche (23). The France youth international is expected to leave his formative club this summer amid interest from Manchester City, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.
He is one of the names being considered by the Principality club, however, they could face stiff competition from Premier League side Nottingham Forest, who are in the running to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
