Egyptian star Mohammed Salah is close to renewing his contract with Premier League outfit Liverpool.
The 32-year-old former African footballer of the Year is out of contract at the end of the season, sparking concerns about his future at the club.
Several clubs were said to be monitoring Salah’s situation at Liverpool as they seek to capture his services as a free agent in June. The former Chelsea winger was linked with PSG, Barcelona and some Saudi Pro League clubs.
According to latest reports, Salah is now set to sign a new deal with the six-time Champions League holders. Both parties are reportedly closed to agreeing on a deal for a renewal in the coming days.
Salah will reportedly sign a new two-year contract, which will keep him at the club for a decade. The Egyptian star arrived in 2017 and has since established himself as the main man for the club.
The 32-year-old has scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists from 44 appearances across competitions this season.
