France legend Thierry Henry insists the absence of Egyptian international Mohammed Salah affected Liverpool’s performance in the Premier League.
The experienced winger left Liverpool for international assignment, where he guided the Pharaohs to the fourth position at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Salah was instrumental for the North African football heavyweights, scoring four goals to inspire the team to the last four of the tournament, held in Morocco.
However, has weighed in on Liverpool’s recent run of results, drawing attention to the impact Mohamed Salah’s absence may have had on the team’s performances and overall momentum.
While analyzing Liverpool’s form, the former Arsenal and France legend suggested that the Reds have felt the loss of their talismanic forward, particularly in matches that ended without a winner.
According to him, Salah’s presence on the pitch could have been the difference in several key moments for the Premier League giants.
“Some of the draws they’ve had since Salah left, perhaps if he were here he would have turned them into victories”
Henry’s comments underline Salah’s importance to Liverpool, not only for his goals but also for his ability to influence tight games and deliver decisive moments when margins are fine.
Salah made an immediate impact in mid-week, helping Liverpool to hammer Marseille in the Champions League on his return from the AFCON 2025.
