Egyptian striker Mohamed Sherif is set to light up the Egyptian Premier League after sealing a deal with Zamalek. The Al-Khaleej star, now a free agent, will join the Whites next season, bringing fresh energy to the squad.
According to Saudi Arabian newspaper Al-Youm, Mohamed Sherif and Zamalek have ironed out all financial and contractual details, paving the way for a smooth transition.
Mohamed Sherif’s time at Al-Khaleej, where he joined in August 2023, saw him play 53 matches, netting 9 goals and adding 2 assists. Despite his efforts, the Saudi Arabian club chose to part ways after two seasons without major impact.
Zamalek, however, sees untapped potential in the striker, hoping he’ll rediscover his spark in Cairo. The move has Zamalek fans buzzing, eager to see Mohamed Sherif shine in the iconic white jersey.
Sherif, who scored six goals in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League, was the first Al Ahly player to do so since Mohamed Aboutrika in the 2006 CAF Champions League.
