Mohamed Salah’s dazzling performances this season have set a sky-high bar at Liverpool, even inspiring goalkeeper Alisson Becker to claim the club’s Player of the Month award for March his first since October 2022.
Alisson edged out the Egyptian sensation and midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, securing 29% of the fan vote. Salah, a frequent winner of the accolade, has been a force of nature, smashing records and sparking Ballon d’Or buzz with his electric play.
Meanwhile, Alisson’s resurgence between the posts has been vital for the Reds.
Upon receiving the honor, Alisson said, according to the official Liverpool website, “This is the first of the season, I’m very happy. Everyone knows how difficult it is to win this award here at the club, with Mohamed Salah winning 90% of it.” He added, “It’s always special when you’re appreciated by the fans for what you do on the pitch.”
With 28 appearances, 22 goals conceded, and 12 clean sheets, Alisson’s form complements Salah’s brilliance as Liverpool chase glory.
