Mohamed Salah, the former star of Zamalek, has voiced his opinion on the exclusion of Mahmoud Abdel-Razek, known as “Shikabala,” from the Egyptian national team’s roster for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Salah, speaking on the “Zamalekawy” program broadcast on Zamalek TV, emphasized Shikabala’s exceptional performance with the White Castle and expressed his belief that the player had been unfairly treated by Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria.
“Shikabala has shown outstanding performance with Zamalek, and everyone agrees on that.
I had hoped that any player performing well for their club would join the national team,” Salah stated during the interview.
