Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is not giving up on his dream of winning the Ballon d’Or.
The Liverpool forward says lifting the world’s top individual prize remains a major goal, even as he turns 32.
He knows it won’t be easy, but recent winners who succeeded in their thirties give him hope.
“It is not in my hands, but obviously, one day I’d love to win it for my people… even if I don’t win it, my career will still have been a success,” Salah said.
Salah has been crucial to Liverpool’s Premier League triumph this season. With more big tournaments coming up, he believes there’s plenty still to play for.
“I’m only 32. Several recent winners were in their thirties so, who knows?” he added.
Salah is looking ahead to what he describes as an exciting year with several targets in mind, defending Liverpool’s title, fighting for the Champions League, competing in the AFCON, and chasing a World Cup place.
“You already know my ambition: to win everything.”
