Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has been nominated for the English Premier League Player of the Month (PoTM) award for December, thanks to his extraordinary performances for Liverpool.
Salah, recognised as one of the league’s most productive forwards, was instrumental for the Reds last month. In six games, he directly contributed to 14 goals—either scoring or assisting—a feat that matches the record set by Luis Suarez in December 2013.
Liverpool’s dominance in December is further highlighted by the inclusion of another of their stars, Trent Alexander-Arnold, on the shortlist. Alexander-Arnold contributed a goal, three assists, and helped secure one clean sheet as Liverpool remained unbeaten throughout the month.
The competition for the prestigious award is fierce, with Newcastle duo Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, and Fulham’s Antonee Robinson—all delivering remarkable performances—also making the shortlist.
Salah’s nomination underscores his enduring excellence, as he continues to play a pivotal role in Liverpool’s campaign this season.
