Mohamed Salah has no regrets over Liverpool exit decision
Mohamed Salah says he does not regret his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, even after briefly considering a change of heart.
The Egyptian star, who signed a two-year extension in 2025, explained that he needed time to accept the move before deciding it was the right step for him.
Salah said he had tried to reverse his decision, but felt the situation was no longer heading in the right direction. He added that he believes fans will understand he gave everything for the club and that his bond with supporters has always been built on effort, honesty and commitment.
He also said Liverpool is about more than quality on the pitch, stressing the importance of what a player gives to the fans and the city. Salah described last season’s Premier League title as his favourite moment in a Liverpool shirt, saying it was special to celebrate it with his children.
The forward insisted he is now at peace with the choice and happy with what he achieved at Anfield, including major trophies and a lasting connection with the club.
