Egypt urge Mohamed Salah to reject MLS move amid transfer talks

Egypt’s national team hierarchy has advised Mohamed Salah against a potential move to Major League Soccer, warning it could affect both his visibility and long-term international standing.

“Personally, I would prefer him to stay in Europe. I’ve heard about offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and clubs in the Italian league.

A transfer to Major League? He would be far too far from the spotlight. Salah wouldn’t be remembered any more than I remember Lionel Messi today; I don’t even try to watch him,” said the Director of the Egyptian national team.

His comments highlight growing unease within Egypt’s football leadership about the potential implications of Salah stepping away from Europe’s top leagues.

Remaining on the continent is viewed as the best way to maintain both his competitive edge and international recognition.

Clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been mentioned as possible destinations should Salah leave Liverpool.
