Liverpool’s star Egyptian, Mohamed Salah, played a pivotal role in his team’s victory against Brentford, scoring four goals to one in the English Premier League.
With this win, Liverpool’s points tally rose to 57, securing their position at the top of the league table, while Brentford remained at 25 points, placing fourteenth overall.
Liverpool’s goals came from Nunez, Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Jacob in the 35th, 55th, 68th, and 86th minutes, respectively.
Brentford’s sole goal was scored by the returning Ivan Toney in the 75th minute, marking his comeback after a long absence.
According to Opta statistics network, Mohamed Salah has now scored and assisted in 30 different matches in the English Premier League.
He trails only Wayne Rooney, who achieved this feat in 36 matches, followed by Thierry Henry in 32 matches, and Alan Shearer in 31 matches.
They are the ones who have done so the most in the history of the competition.
Through Mohamed Salah, Liverpool, alongside his Dutch teammate Cody Jacob, became the second team in Premier League history to have two substitutes score and assist two goals in a single match, following Arsenal against Fulham in October 2018, courtesy of Aubameyang and Ramsey.
