Mohamed Salah agrees to sign new Liverpool deal

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly agreed in principle to extend his stay at Liverpool, marking a crucial step in securing the club’s talisman for two more years.

According to sources, Salah has reached an understanding with the club over key terms for a contract renewal. However, finalizing the deal has hit a roadblock due to unresolved discussions regarding the 32-year-old’s image rights.

This particular issue remains the primary hurdle delaying Salah’s formal commitment to the new contract, despite significant progress in negotiations.

Salah’s recent comments following Liverpool’s victory over West Ham—where he hinted that talks were “still far away”—are believed to be a strategic move by the player and his representatives to exert public pressure on the club during negotiations.

Despite the challenges, both parties remain optimistic that a resolution will be reached soon.

Securing Salah’s signature would be a major boost for Liverpool as they continue their quest for domestic and European glory, with the Egyptian forward remaining a key figure in the team’s attacking setup.
