The spotlight is on Mohamed Magdy, better known as “Afsha,” as Al Ahly’s medical team has advised against including him in the upcoming League Cup clash with Enppi tomorrow.
An Al Ahly insider shared with Kooora that Afsha passed a recent medical checkup showing he’s in good shape and has even started easing back into team drills.
Still, the cautious staff wants to hold off on his return to competitive action, prioritizing a full recovery over a rushed comeback. They’ve passed this advice on to head coach Sami Qamssan, warning that playing him too soon could invite unnecessary risks.
Meanwhile, the same source highlighted that Yahya Attiyat Allah, Ali Maaloul, and Yasser Ibrahim are all cleared to take the field with no health concerns.
On the flip side, Taher Mohamed Taher is making steady progress in rehab and should rejoin group sessions within a week. Karim Fouad, however, faces a longer road back from a cruciate ligament injury, with roughly five weeks left before he can start training again.
