Former Raja Casablanca coach, Mohamed Fakhir, has tipped RS Berkane to emerge as the champions of the Moroccan topflight.
Berkane sit top of the pile with 55 points after 22 matches played.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Mars, Fakhir expressed confidence in Berkane’s chances and added that Nahdat Berkane will only win the topflight unless a miracle happens.
“The era of miracles is over and Nahdat Berkane will not be satisfied with the title but will crush all records,” he said.
“I am a coach who loves realism in analysis. This realism shows me that Nahdat is the champion of Morocco and it is impossible for anyone to convince me otherwise. In order for Berkane not to be crowned, it must lose 5 matches out of the remaining 8, and Wydad must win the remaining rounds. Objectively, it seems a possibility, but in terms of the reality of the league and its numbers, this is impossible.”
“For Burkan Al-Daraa to lose would be madness; they should put themselves in the fridge and freeze, and let someone else win.
“Burkan will be a deserved champion, the best defense and the best attack, they defeated all their pursuers at home and away, they will get a historic and record points tally, I see them as the best version in history and they will enter the circle of the crowned, God willing, after benefiting from years of hard work and perseverance,” he added.
RS Berkane will host Wydad Athletic in the Matchday 23 games on Firday, February 28 at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.
