Mohamed Bouchouari makes NAC Breda move from Wydad AC

Belgian-Moroccan right-back Mohamed Bouchouari has joined NAC Breda from Wydad AC, completing a move to the Dutch club on 2 September 2026.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract with NAC Breda that runs until 30 June 2030. He arrives as the club’s latest defensive addition and will play in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

Bouchouari spent the 2025-26 season with Wydad AC in Morocco, making 14 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi and providing one assist. He also featured four times in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring twice, as well as appearing in the Champions League qualifying rounds.

The move takes him back to the Netherlands, where he previously played for FC Emmen during the 2022-23 campaign. Bouchouari made 26 Eredivisie appearances for Emmen, scoring once and registering one assist, after joining the club on loan from RSCA Futures.

His spell in Belgium with RSCA Futures followed a period at F91 Dudelange in Luxembourg. Bouchouari joined the Belgian club in 2020 after leaving Dudelange on a free transfer and later moved to Rodez AF in France in July 2024, also on a free transfer.

At Rodez, he recorded 36 Ligue 2 appearances, scoring four goals and supplying five assists. His performances preceded a move to Wydad AC in August 2025 for €300,000.

Born in Dinant, Belgium, Bouchouari stands 1.70m tall and is right-footed. He has represented both Belgium and Morocco as nationalities, while his primary position is right-back.

The transfer adds another chapter to a career that has included football in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Morocco. Bouchouari’s arrival at NAC Breda is secured through June 2030.
