Egyptian goalkeeper, Mohamed Awad, who guards the net for Zamalek, has addressed the speculation surrounding offers from the Saudi Professional League during the current period, paving the way for a potential move to one of the league’s clubs in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Awad has been playing a pivotal role for Zamalek recently, especially after the exclusion of Mohamed Sobhi, who has been suspended from participating in matches.
In an exclusive statement to the Saudi newspaper “Al-Yaum,” Awad stated, “There has been communication from some clubs expressing interest in securing my services during the upcoming winter transfer window.”
He added, “However, until this moment, the offers have not taken on an official form.
The entire matter is entirely in the hands of Zamalek’s management.”
The talented goalkeeper’s clarification comes amid increasing speculation and interest from clubs in the Saudi league, known for its competitiveness and attracting skilled players from various regions.
Awad’s notable performances have not gone unnoticed, and clubs in the Saudi Professional League are reportedly keen to bolster their squads with the addition of the skilled Egyptian goalkeeper.
While the goalkeeper acknowledges the communications, he emphasizes that nothing has been finalized, and the official nature of any potential move rests with the management of Zamalek.
