Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane has given Al Ahly an anxious wait just before their big league test against Pyramids FC.
The Tunisian midfielder is battling discomfort and his place in the starting side is now in question.
The Reds meet Pyramids this evening in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League, and fans are waiting to see if Ben Ramadan will make it.
An Al Ahly source told Kooora, “There is fear and hesitation about starting the Tunisian player against Pyramids, despite his presence in the team’s camp.”
“Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane received a painkiller injection to participate in the final training session, due to the slight pain he is suffering from in his hamstring,” he added.
He further explained, “The player will undergo a final medical examination at 2:00 PM to determine his participation in the starting lineup.”
Both Al Ahly and Pyramids have started the season in modest fashion. The champions have 5 points from 3 games, while Pyramids also sit on 5 points but from 4 matches.
