Mohamed Abdelmonem joined the Egyptian national team camp on Monday, bolstering the squad ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The Nice defender arrived alongside several teammates, reinforcing the Pharaohs as they prepare for crucial international matches.
Al Ahly’s Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Marwan Attia, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Rami Rabia, and Mohamed Hany also linked up with the squad after missing the first day of camp due to club commitments. The club had arranged for its players to report for duty at the start of the international break.
Egypt is set to face Ethiopia on March 21 in Morocco before hosting Sierra Leone at Cairo International Stadium on March 26.
The Pharaohs currently sit atop Group A with 10 points, with Guinea-Bissau trailing at six. Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone follow with five points each, while Ethiopia holds three. Djibouti remains at the bottom with a single point.
With Abdelmonem and Al Ahly’s key figures now in camp, Egypt looks to maintain its stronghold in the qualifiers.
