Al Ahly’s goals were netted by Anthony Modeste, while Smouha managed to find the back of the net courtesy of Hossam Hassan.
Moroccan player Reda Slim made a return to the pitch after a prolonged absence due to a shoulder injury sustained in a match against Mamelodi Sundowns in the African league.
Additionally, the new goalkeeper for the Red Devils, Mahmoud El Zanfaly, made his appearance, although he did not play during the match.
