Egyptian outfit Modern Future FC clinched a crucial draw away from home against SuperSport, with both teams finding the net once, in a game contested on Sunday as part of the 2023-2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
The encounter took place at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, marking the fifth round of the continental tournament.
It was Modern Future FC who seized the initiative, as Ali Zaeza broke the deadlock in the 31st minute of the first half, courtesy of an assist from Ahmed Atef.
However, SuperSport managed to level the scoreline through Tendamudzimu Matodzi, who headed home in the 69th minute.
Following the match, Modern Future FC finds themselves in second place in the group standings, accumulating a total of 8 points.
They trail behind group leaders Union Sportive Médina d’Alger.
Meanwhile, SuperSport remains in third place with 4 points, while Al-Hilal of Libya sits at the bottom of the table with 3 points.
