Saka’s influence unmatched at Arsenal, says Arteta

Mikel Arteta has made it clear he has no doubts about Bukayo Saka despite the winger’s recent drop in numbers for Arsenal.

Saka has managed just two goals and three assists across the last four months, but his manager refuses to judge him purely on stats.

“We fully trust him and love him,” Arteta said at his press conference, underlining how highly the club values the 24-year-old. “What he’s doing for us, for this club, is just incredible at his age and he’s continued to have that massive impact for us.”

Arteta accepted that, like any player, Saka will have the occasional off day. “He can have an individual performance that is not probably a reflection of his level, like every human, every player in the world,” he added. “But overall when you look at his strength and the impulse he has in the team, it’s just incredible.”

With Arsenal fighting on multiple fronts, Arteta’s public backing sends a strong message that Saka remains central to his plans and firmly trusted inside the dressing room.
