Ahmed Hossam “Mido,” former star of Zamalek Club, has addressed the speculation surrounding his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of Pyramids FC in the near future.
Recent media reports suggested that Salem Al Shamsi, the owner of Pyramids FC, intended to change the current management due to the team’s poor performance in recent years and its failure to clinch any titles.
In a statement on the program “Al-Laeeb” aired on MBC Egypt, Mido clarified: “The talk about my appointment as the president of Pyramids FC is an April Fool’s joke, but it’s a bit premature.”
He continued, emphasizing the club’s current administration: “Pyramids FC has a respectable management, and Mamdouh Eid is one of the best individuals who has managed football in Egypt in recent years.”
Mido further stated, “No one has approached me about having a role at Pyramids FC.”
