Former Tottenham player Ahmed Hossam Mido, commonly known as Mido, has emphasized that Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, came to Saudi Arabia to make history.
Ronaldo led his team to victory over Al-Fayha with a goal to nil in the first leg of the Asian Champions League round of 16.
Speaking to the “Dorna Ghair” program, Mido stated, “I retired at the age of 30 after reaching a saturation point, while Cristiano Ronaldo is still delivering ceaseless performances.”
He continued, “Ronaldo is an example for everyone in lifestyle; he cares about the smallest details, whether on or off the field, and I don’t believe he came to Saudi Arabia for money, but rather to make history.”
Elaborating further, he said, “After leaving Manchester United, he faced a tough choice because if his experience in Saudi Arabia failed, he would be ridiculed globally.
However, he adapted and has contributed significantly since his arrival in the Kingdom.”
Mido concluded by saying, “Cristiano sees himself as part of the Saudi project, understanding his responsibility.
Currently, many players have moved to the Saudi league because of Ronaldo.”
