In recent days, there have been rumors of Zinedine Zidane, the current assistant coach of Real Madrid, joining Monaco for the next season. Michel Platini, the president of UEFA, has expressed his approval of this idea. In an interview with L’Equipe, Platini stated that it would be beneficial for Zidane to start his coaching career with Monaco because it is “a good club with resources.”
When asked about Zidane’s coaching abilities given his limited experience, Platini responded affirmatively. He pointed out that the 1998 World Cup champion had practically “spent a year with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid,” which provided him with valuable learning opportunities.
Overall, Platini expressed confidence in Zidane’s coaching potential, stating that he believes Zidane will be “a very good coach,” whether at Monaco or elsewhere.
