Bayern Munich’s summer signing Michael Olise has wasted no time proving his worth, establishing himself as the Bundesliga’s most creative force this season.
The German champions secured Olise’s signature from Crystal Palace on July 7, 2024, for a reported €60 million, including add-ons. The 22-year-old signed a five-year deal running through June 2029, and his impact has been immediate.
Olise made his debut on August 16, assisting Kingsley Coman just two minutes after coming on in a 4–0 DFB-Pokal victory over SSV Ulm. His first Bundesliga goal followed on September 14 in a dominant 6–1 win over Holstein Kiel. Just days later, he lit up the Allianz Arena on his UEFA Champions League debut, scoring twice in Bayern’s emphatic 9–2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb.
According to statistical portal WhoScored, Olise has already created at least 13 big chances in the Bundesliga this season more than any other player. With 20 goal involvements in 33 matches, the Frenchman is rapidly becoming Bayern’s most reliable attacking weapon.
