Michael Olise has etched his name into Bayern Munich’s history books, delivering a run of form that places him alongside club legend Mario Mandzukic.
The French international ended his first Bundesliga season by scoring and assisting in four consecutive league matches—an achievement previously unmatched at the Bavarian club.
Olise, who joined Bayern Munich ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, has proven to be one of the most impactful signings of the season.
The 23-year-old forward concluded his debut Bundesliga campaign with 12 goals and 15 assists, a return that earned him the award for the league’s best new signing.
Yet it is his extraordinary consistency during the closing stretch of the season that has drawn particular acclaim.
Olise registered both a goal and an assist in four successive fixtures, culminating in Bayern’s final matchday clash against Hoffenheim on 17 May 2025.
That performance followed similar contributions against RB Leipzig on 5 May, Borussia Mönchengladbach on 10 May, and Mainz on 26 April.
By doing so, Olise became only the second player in Bayern Munich’s illustrious history to achieve such a feat, equalling the record set by Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic.
Until now, Mandzukic had stood alone in having both scored and assisted in four straight Bundesliga games in a single season.
Olise’s dynamic presence in Bayern’s frontline proved crucial in their successful title push.
Whether drifting wide to create chances or breaking into the box to finish them, he quickly became a central figure in manager Thomas Tuchel’s attacking plans.
His on-pitch chemistry with the likes of Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane provided a fluid, unpredictable edge to Bayern’s forward play.
The Frenchman’s standout displays over the final weeks not only helped secure the Bundesliga title but also signaled his rapid adaptation to Germany’s top flight.
Despite arriving from England’s Crystal Palace with high expectations, few could have predicted such an immediate and sustained impact.
Olise’s ability to deliver under pressure—especially in decisive moments late in the season—has firmly established him as one of Europe’s emerging stars.
And while comparisons to Mandzukic may once have seemed premature, his record-equaling run now places him firmly in the company of Bayern’s most memorable performers.
