Michael Olise declared untouchable as Bayern Munich shut door on transfer interest
Michael Olise’s rise at Bayern Munich has reached a point where the club hierarchy now view him as untouchable, with president Herbert Hainer publicly underlining their determination to keep hold of their prized winger amid growing European interest.
Since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2024, the 24-year-old has evolved into one of the continent’s most decisive wide forwards under Vincent Kompany, combining creativity, pace and end product to devastating effect.
His performances this season have elevated him into elite company, with a Bundesliga Player of the Year award coming ahead of Harry Kane after a campaign that produced 36 goal involvements in 32 league appearances, confirming his status as one of the division’s standout performers.
Despite inevitable attention from across the continent, with Liverpool among the clubs previously monitoring his development, Bayern’s stance has become increasingly firm as his valuation has surged beyond £100 million following his explosive output.
The German champions regard him as a central pillar of their long-term project, particularly as they continue to build a squad capable of dominating both domestically and in Europe.
His consistency in the final third has made him indispensable, with his ability to decide matches through either scoring or creating goals setting him apart from many of his peers in elite football.
Herbert Hainer has made the club’s position unmistakably clear as speculation around Olise continues to grow, insisting that the winger remains central to Bayern’s plans moving forward.
“We absolutely want to keep him. He has a contract until 2029,” Hainer told Bild. He added that Bayern believe their sporting project offers the perfect environment for continued success: “Here he has the chance to win every title with us every year. I see no reason why he should look elsewhere.”
Beyond individual retention priorities, Bayern’s collective focus remains on reclaiming the Champions League title, a trophy they have not lifted since 2020, with last season’s semi-final exit to Paris Saint Germain serving as further motivation for the squad led by Harry Kane and others.
In that context, Olise’s development is viewed internally as a defining element of Bayern’s long-term strategy, particularly as they seek to blend established stars with emerging elite talent across Europe.
