Michael Essien will indeed be playing for AC Milan. The Ghanaian international is leaving Chelsea, where he had become a substitute. This status didn’t sit well with him, especially with the World Cup 2014 just six months away.
Essien has signed with AC Milan for 18 months, keeping him tied to the Rossoneri until June 2015. The deal almost fell through on Sunday when reports of a medical issue surfaced in the media. However, everything was eventually sorted out.
The former Lyon player, nicknamed “The Bison,” was presented on Monday in Milan alongside Adriano Galliani, the club’s vice president (photo).
