It appears that Marouane Chamakh, the Moroccan international, has expressed interest in a possible return to Girondins de Bordeaux. However, Jean-Louis Triaud, the president of the club, mentioned that as of now, there hasn’t been a direct contact from Chamakh or his agent regarding a potential return.
Triaud clarified that, in his view, a “foot call” would involve the player or his agent reaching out directly. He also pointed out that for any potential transfer to happen, Arsenal, where Chamakh is currently under contract until 2014, would need to agree to let him go.
While expressing openness to Chamakh’s return and noting that he would receive the player with pleasure if there is a direct contact, Triaud mentioned that he is not inclined to invest money in a transaction for the striker who left Bordeaux for free in 2010.
It remains to be seen whether Chamakh will actively pursue a return to Girondins de Bordeaux and initiate contact with the club or its president.
