Abdoul Sissoko Eyes Extended Stay in Spain Following Successful Loan Spell
Abdoul Sissoko, the 24-year-old midfielder currently on loan from Udinese, may continue his career in Spain after a promising season with Hércules Alicante.
Sissoko, who spent the last campaign adapting well to the demands of La Liga’s style of play, recently expressed his contentment with life in Spain. “I feel perfectly at home here,” the former Troyes trainee said last week, reflecting on his successful integration into Spanish football.
The French midfielder, who also had two loan spells at Brest between 2011 and 2013, is now on trial with Granada CF, the club that finished 15th in La Liga last season. The trial period offers Sissoko the opportunity to impress head coach Joaquín Caparrós and secure a more permanent role.
Should Granada be convinced by his performance, reports suggest the club will seek to arrange a season-long loan deal with an option to buy, potentially paving the way for Sissoko to continue his career in Spain beyond the current campaign.
This move would mark another step in the midfielder’s growing experience in European football, highlighting his adaptability and ambition to establish himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
