Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyaté’s future is uncertain, and while he initially expressed his intention to finish the season with Anderlecht, a possible departure this winter is not ruled out. Wolfsburg has shown interest in the Senegalese international, but Kouyaté prefers a move to the Premier League. Southampton is reportedly interested in signing him, and the fact that Kouyaté obtained his Belgian passport in August could facilitate a move to the English club. While the initial plan was for Kouyaté to complete the season with Anderlecht, a January departure is not entirely impossible.
