Gohi Bi Cyriac, the Ivorian striker at Anderlecht, had previously expressed his consideration of leaving the club due to limited playing time. However, recent developments suggest that he might stay with the Brussels club, unless they sign an offensive recruit during the winter transfer window.
Despite interest from RC Lens, Cyriac showcased his abilities in a friendly match against Mechelen last weekend, making a positive impression on Anderlecht coach John van den Brom. He demonstrated his skills and was the most dangerous player for Anderlecht in the last 30 minutes of the match.
Reflecting on his recent performances, Cyriac stated, “My beginnings were not easy with Fabrice N’Sakala’s injury and the tactical change that followed. There was a certain lag. I gave everything, like the team, to try to come back to the score, but we came up against Mechelen. We pushed hard and I almost saved the furniture, but I’m already not thinking about it anymore. We have to think about the next match.”
Despite remaining evasive about his future, Cyriac expressed contentment with Anderlecht, stating, “I feel really good at Anderlecht. I don’t listen to what is said around me. I give everything on the pitch, and the final decision will come to the coach. He will judge whether I am good or not.”
