In the Serie A clash between Parma FC and Genoa CFC, Djamel Mesbah is looking to part ways with Parma. The Algerian international, experiencing a lack of playing time in Parma, is considering a change of scenery six months before the World Cup in Brazil. Coach Donadoni has limited reliance on the left-back, who is also capable of playing in a more advanced position. The club is unlikely to impede the player’s departure, as Mesbah wishes to be loaned out to secure playing time in preparation for the 2014 World Cup.
Initially linked with a move to Sochaux, the midfielder now appears to be steering away from the French club. According to reports from L’Equipe, the Fennec is not set to land in Ligue 1 and among the Lionceaux. Instead, the Algerian left-back from Parma is leaning towards joining another Italian club, specifically Chievo Verona or Livorno. Sochaux is reported to lack the necessary funds to cover the salary of the former Milanese player.
